PriceWaterHouseCoopers to Utilize MIL 3's Decision Support Software in Global Sap Method and Tool

NEW YORK, NY -- August 2, 1999 -- PricewaterhouseCoopers, the world's largest professional services organization, and MIL 3, Inc., a leading provider of decision-support software for networks and applications, today announced a worldwide consulting and reseller agreement between the two companies. The agreement enables PricewaterhouseCoopers to incorporate MIL 3's ERP NetworkGuru for SAP R/3 into PricewaterhouseCooper's global ascendantSAP method and tool, as well as allows PricewaterhouseCoopers to sell the software to its clients for ongoing R/3 optimization and management.

ERP NetworkGuru for SAP R/3 uses advanced simulation technology to predict the effect of an enterprise network on planned or existing SAP implementations. The software enables companies to assess whether network design and capacity will support an SAP deployment without having to stress test the production network. This assessment is accomplished by modeling SAP-specific parameters and then projecting the behavior of SAP transactions, helping companies manage their SAP environments proactively by optimizing application performance before problems can occur.

"As SAP's largest global consulting provider, PricewaterhouseCoopers focuses on accelerating the implementation of business processes and infrastructure modifications necessary to help companies use their SAP R/3 system more effectively," said Dale Gentsch, global ERP technology lead partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers. "Our relationship with MIL 3 enables us to add ERP NetworkGuru for SAP R/3 to our SAP consulting engagements, providing us with greater resources in identifying and addressing the variables that affect a network's ability to support R/3."

"ERP NetworkGuru for SAP R/3 is the ideal tool for a world-class consulting firm such as PricewaterhouseCoopers," said Marc Cohen, MIL3's chief executive officer. "PricewaterhouseCoopers consultants can now combine their vast experience in SAP R/3 with ERP NetworkGuru's automated modeling and simulation of R/3. This product can provide PricewaterhouseCoopers' clients with a means of evaluating how their planned or existing network systems will be able to support the SAP R/3 system."

PricewaterhouseCoopers is the largest provider of SAP consulting services in the world with 8,400 consultants, over 875 customers and 1,400 completed consulting engagements. PricewaterhouseCoopers has a Global SAP Method and Tool, called ascendantSAP, that guides companies through the SAP evaluation, development and implementation process. PricewaterhouseCoopers has received SAP's Award for Excellence, which recognizes outstanding customer service, every year that the award has been given since the inception of the organization's SAP practice in 1994.
